Cara [RECOVERY][ROOT] Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini 3G (GT-I9190)

WARNING! ONLY USE THIS ON THE GT-I9190 MODEL!

Hello all S4 Mini owners!

I'm happy to finally release ClockworkMod recovery and an insecure kernel for the GT-I9190. With these two installed on your device, obtaining root is easy.

Attached to this post is the necessary files needed for this task. Download the following files:
  • Odin_v3.09.zip (if you don't have it already)
  • recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serrano3gxx.tar.zip
  • S4Mini_RootKit_v2.zip (contains SuperSU v1.89 and BusyBox v1.21.1)
Extract recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serrano3gxx.tar.zip file to your computer.


The procedure is as:
  1. Copy the "S4Mini_RootKit_v2.zip" to your device SD card.
  2. Turn off the phone.
  3. Press and hold home, volume down and power. Download screen should appear.
  4. Connect USB cable, and press volume up.
  5. Start Odin, uncheck "F. Reset Time", and then click AP button.
  6. Select "recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serrano3gxx.tar.md5" file that you previously extracted, and press Start button. The phone will reboot when finished.
  7. After the phone resets (it vibrates) IMMEDIATELY hold volume up and home buttons to boot into recovery mode.
  8. Select the option to install the ZIP file you have previously copied to your device and begin flashing it.
  9. After flashing using CWM, reboot into system and enjoy your rooted device.
To get rid of the the warnings about applications doing not permitted actions, delete the following files from system/app, or let SuperSU fix it for you.
  • KNOXAgent.apk
  • KNOXStore.apk
  • ContainerAgent.apk

TWRP 2.7.0.0 UNTUK GT-I9195 & GT-I9190





Team Win Recovery Project 2.7, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It is a fully touch driven user interface; no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

NOTE : I am not affiliated with any of the teams mentioned above...



INSTALLATION :

=> Option 1 : Your device does not have any custom recovery yet ! Please download the zipped .tar.md5 below ;) Unzip the .tar.md5 and flash it using Odin (Windows OS).
=> Option 2 : A custom recovery has already been flashed to your device ! Please download the flashable .zip file below and flash it from recovery as usual (don't forget to disable zip signature checking in your current recovery...).



DOWNLOADS :

INFO 1 : If you get a failure when flashing from recovery with regular / PhilZ CWM or legacy TWRP, please use the corresponding .tar.md5 Odin flashable file... thank you :good:

INFO 2 : STABLE branch DOWNLOADS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FROM THE DOWNLOADS TAB OF THIS PROJECT ;)

INFO 3 : Current DEV branch build ships with the 'take a screenshot' from recovery feature :good: BUT is only available for the LTE variant ATM... Simply press 'volume down' + 'power' hardware keys on your device in order to save a screenshot from recovery to your microSD card (files are saved on it to 'Pictures/Screenshots' directory...)

NOTE : I've started building it for myself, now i'm sharing it ! I use it everyday and still do not have any issue ! Anyway you can feel free to report back ;) Any feedback will ever be greatly appreciated !

PS : Flashing KK ROMs with this recovery is OK (it's its main purpose...), Flashing JB ones has not been tested yet so please report back if anything goes wrong with JB ROMs... Thank you !

PS : TWRP for GT-I9195/0 is available as two separate download categories : STABLE & DEV branches ! The DEV branch is based off the stable one and is including features that are not available in the STABLE one yet (as upstream merged commits...) ! So the DEV branch is as stable as the STABLE one except for currently previewed features...
